Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This policy explains what information InvestGraph ("we", "us") handles when you use investgraph.app, and the choices you have. We have tried to describe what the site actually does in plain language.

Summary

Information we process

Simulation inputs

When you run a simulation, your browser sends the values in the form (ticker symbol, start and end dates, initial investment, contribution interval and amount, dividend reinvestment setting, and currency label) to our server. The server uses them to fetch historical price data and calculate the result, then sends the result back. These inputs are not linked to an account or to your identity.

Server logs

Like most websites, our web server automatically records basic technical information about each request, such as the IP address, date and time, the page or resource requested, the referring page, and the browser's user-agent string. We use these logs to keep the service running, diagnose errors, and protect against abuse.

Shared links

If you use the Share button, the link it creates contains your simulation inputs in the URL so that anyone who opens it sees the same simulation. Anyone you share the link with can see those inputs. The link is created in your browser; we do not store a copy.

Video exports

Chart frames are rendered and encoded into MP4 and GIF files on your own device. The resulting files are not uploaded to us.

Cookies and browser storage

InvestGraph does not set its own cookies. It stores your language preference under the key dca_lang in your browser's local storage so the site can open in the language you chose last time. This value never leaves your browser, and you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Third-party services

Market data

Historical prices and dividends are retrieved by our server from Yahoo Finance (see Data Sources). This request is made by our server, not your browser, so your IP address is not sent to Yahoo as part of it.

Content delivery network (jsDelivr)

The simulator loads some open-source JavaScript libraries (for translations, video encoding, and GIF encoding) from the jsDelivr content delivery network. When your browser downloads these files, jsDelivr receives standard request information such as your IP address and user-agent. See the jsDelivr privacy policy.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We may display advertisements served by Google AdSense to support the site. When ads are shown:

Where the law requires it, for example for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we will ask for your consent before advertising cookies are used. To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Analytics

We do not currently use any analytics service. If that changes, we will update this policy first.

Children's privacy

InvestGraph is not directed at children under 13 (or under 14 in Korea), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

Because we do not run accounts, we generally hold very little information that can identify you. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct or delete it. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site changes, for example if ads or analytics are added. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised.
